I do feel like it’s time for another adventure…

About a year ago I set off on a trip with my good friend Meg to see what Portugal, Spain, and Morocco had to offer. We shared many memorable adventures and made friends from around the world. It was such an incredible opportunity and this month we have both set off again, this time on our own to get out and explore new corners of this beautiful planet; Meg to Australia and myself to Europe. On our last trip together we shared some of our favourite memories and landscapes on this blog. With her being a graphic designer and web developer and myself a photographer, we thought it only made sense. Since we already have this platform set up I thought I would take advantage of that to post photos of my current adventures for family, friends, and whoever else is interested in following along!

Here goes…

It had been a crazy summer leading up to this adventure. I packed as much work as I could into my schedule filling up my days, evening, and weekends. Work hard, play hard. That’s what I like to do. The days leading up to my flight were a little hectic with a few bumps along the way (losing my credit card for one) and last minute running around, but that’s always the case isn’t it? I literally started packing a few hours before it was time to head to the airport but I got it done and didn’t forget anything important so that’s all that matters! My flight was direct and left at 6:30pm, just as the sun was starting to set. It was supposed to rain that day but ended up being a bluebird day, which made for the most beautiful take off I have ever experienced. We climbed above the city and soared over the mountains, which were cloaked in the colours of the setting sun. The sky was a gradient of blue, yellow, orange, purple, and pink. As the sun sank, a purple haze shrouded the sky around us, slowly darkening. It was a smooth flight and I was able to sleep for a few hours thankfully. Before I knew it I had arrived. My first stop? London.

London was on my list for a few reasons. One being I would get to visit my good friend Corina, who had just moved there in April on a 2 year work Visa. The second being I wanted to scope out the city and get a feel for it to see if I could also live there. Being a photographer and retoucher I have been attracted by the amount of creative things going on and the possible opportunities that are available here. We’ll see what the future holds for me…this city is looking pretty good so far though…
